Narrative
MUSCATINE, IA – Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that killed one person and injured two others on Friday in Muscatine.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. at Taylor Avenue and Highway 61, which is just south of Taylor’s Market North Stand.
Police say that a westbound 2021 Dodge Durango hit a 2024 Nissan Rogue when the driver of the latter vehicle neglected to heed a stop sign.
One person died in the accident, while two others went to the hospital, one via air ambulance, with unspecified injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
