AUDOBON CO., IA – A 73-year-old woman died Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi in central Audobon County.
The incident happened in the afternoon at the intersection of 220th Street and IA-71, which is just south of Audobon County Airport and north of Hamlin.
Police say that a northbound 18-wheeler struck the victim’s westbound vehicle when she neglected to yield the right-of-way at the stop sign.
Authorities identified the unrestrained driver of the vehicle as Sheryl Zinke.
The truck driver did not sustained injuries.
