Narrative
NEAR ATKINS, IA – A 25-year-old woman proceeded through an intersection, resulting in her colliding with another vehicle, sending her and the other driver to a hospital Monday.
This collision happened around 5:30 p.m. south of Atkins at U.S. 30 and 33rd Avenue. The other driver, 48-year-old Star Horak, had hit the driver’s side of the 25-year-old woman’s car.
First responders took Horak to Mercy Hospital, and they took the 25-year-old woman — Alexis Gonzalez — to St. Luke’s Hospital.
It is not immediately clear who had the right of way.
