CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Cedar Rapids police unveiled additional details regarding a fatal crash that claimed four lives earlier this month.
On December 1st, emergency responders were dispatched to C. St. SW, situated between Thomas Edison Blvd and Beth Page Dr., in response to a two-vehicle collision.
The victims, identified as 52-year-old Ruth Tekeste, her 13-year-old son Buruk Mehari, and 18-year-olds Casey Krager and Carter Cooper, lost their lives in the tragic incident attributed to “excessive speed.”
Police confirmed a 2006 Chevy Impala driven by Cooper and a 2010 Honda Pilot driven by Tekeste were involved in the deadly crash.
