Narrative
DEWITT, IA – Three people went to the hospital, and one died Sunday after a two-vehicle collision along the highway in south-central Clinton County.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Highway 30, near the intersection with 330th Avenue, which is near Killdeer County Park.
It’s not yet known what caused the accident, but police say a Toyota Prius and a Pontiac Vibe collided. They were both headed opposite directions, and it’s unclear which vehicle may have entered the wrong side of Highway 30.
The driver of the Prius died after transport to a local hospital.
A passenger from the Prius and the driver of the Pontiac both went to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
