Narrative
GILMAN, IA – At least one person was hurt last Tuesday in a wrong-way collision in southeast Marshall County.
The accident occurred just after 6 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 146 and 310th Street on the far-north side of Gilman. This is about an hour northeast of Des Moines.
It’s not yet clear what caused the wreck, but police say that a car and a semi-truck crashed head-on.
Medics air-lifted the driver of the car to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
At this time, there’s no word regarding additional injuries.
Motorists likely experienced traffic delays in the area of the wreck while emergency teams worked at the scene.
